Survey Seeks Feedback on Serving Aging and Disabled Populations

The Aging and Disability Services Area Agency on Aging for Seattle and King County has put together a questionnaire for older residence. This questionnaire will help create a plan to, “identify key strategies that will promote quality of life, independence and choice for older people and adults with disabilities,” and will guide the work of the Area Agency on Aging from 2012 through 2015. The questionnaire will conclude on April 29th and should take about 10 minutes to complete. The Area Agency on Aging is looking for ideas from older adults, their families, caregivers and professionals to help them come up with an area plan on aging. The questionnaire can be taken online by following this link: http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22BXX4UU7DX. You may contact Karen Winston, Planner at 206 684-0706 for more information, or to receive a hard copy of the community questionnaire.

In addition, Focus on the Future Forum – The Role of Area Agencies on Aging in implementing the Affordable Care Act was held at the Sea-Tac Conference Center on April 6th; if you are interested in joining the conversation about what your community needs are and wish to attend future community conversations, you may visit the Aging and Disability Services website for more information: http://www.agingkingcounty.org/
